  Its the little things that matter, the things that makes a company stand out in a big way! Let me first say I have had at least 5 other brands of casual hiking boots, and "The Slater" brown leather are by far the best looking most comfortable boots iv ever owned. So Iv had them about 3 months now and the shoe string broke, (probably my fault) so I go in to see if I could buy a replacement string. Unfortunately, they do not sell spare strings, but assured me that if I emailed Keen they would send me more, I understood, a little disappointed I couldn't fix my problem right away. . Out of the corner of my eye a lady apologized that they did not sell other strings but what she did next COMPLETELY blew my mind. She went completely out of her way to solve my problem and literally took the same boot I had and walked me up to another shoe store to find a shoe string that looked good and fit my boot. Something I never expected! Thank you so much, and obviously I will never buy a pair of boots anywhere else.

  Two years ago it was great, friendly customer service. Today I walked in and two gentlemen sitting behind counter looked at me like a deer in headlights even after saying hello to them. Didn’t ask if they could help. Want to stay a small business? Have a good selection but have poor employees
